Our Living Lab Forest.
Through the development of a 10-year forest management plan as part of the Living Labs project with Colleges and Institutes Canada, Canadore College became the first post-secondary institution in Canada to achieve certification from both the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). The forest, jointly owned by Canadore College and Nipissing University, represents a milestone in sustainable forestry management.
